Master Thesis: Impact of Ultra-Wideband Interference in Cellular Networks
Student(s): McCanny, Damian
Semester: Winter semester 2005
Time: July 2005 - Dec. 2005 Supervisor(s): Dr. Ulrich Schuster Abstract: One of the key concepts of UWB is to reuse already occupied spectrum, to make more efficient use the scarce resource. However, as most systems already operating in dedicated frequency bands were not designed to coexist with other wireless emission in the same band, the design of the UWB systems need to ensure that all systems can coexist. Probably the most important wireless system, in terms of market volume and market penetration is wireless cellular telephony.
The goal of this project is to analyze the impact of UWB interference on power-controlled CDMA wireless networks.
