Abstract

Dimensioning of circuit-switched networks under uncertainties in the traffic forecast and for dynamic traffic considerations is investigated. A probabilistic traffic pattern is being used to find systematically an optimal routing and to lay out the network resources for robustness against traffic variations. A case study for a Pan-European transport network has been also performed.
